WORLD HOSPITAL TIPS & TRICKS

Modifiable lights

The lights from the rezzers are not modifiable, however, it is possible to obtain these same lights with the modification rights in the bonus folder of the World Hospital.

Thus, you have the three different versions of the lamps available.
By default, all lamps are already ready with respect to the light parameter except the "Braw circular ceiling light".

If it is not already defined, you must activate the light source by right-clicking on the object in edit mode in the relevant tab.

Before activating the lights, you must therefore configure them in the on state.

Find below all the lighting settings that will be taken into account by the lighting system:

- All the settings of the "features" tab in the category below named "Lights" (Intensity, radius...also those related to the projection light.)
- In the "Texture" tab, the "Full bright" checkbox, transparency and "Glow".

When all these settings or part of them have been configured at your convenience, simply hold down a left click on the light concerned for 1 to 2 seconds, release to obtain an info dialog menu to validate with your settings to save and the channel of your choice to choose.
The channel will be important as it will allow the light switch in the same folder to turn on the corresponding lamps.

Be sure to check the user manual, in the light section, for a list of channels already assigned so as not to create unintentional conflicts.

So drop the switch and in the same way, hold the mouse down on it to get the menu to set the right channel.

Now the lamp has saved the data. Be careful not to duplicate these lamps directly as the settings will not be saved.

There are two possibilities:
1) Take a copy of the lamp from your inventory and then pose as much as necessary in-world.

2) In the "on" state of the lamps but not yet saved, duplicate them and then save the settings of all the lamps individually.

Handrails

Some of the information that follows requires advanced skills in mastering the Second Life editing tool. Don't take any risks.

The handrails may not be at an appropriate height, you can edit linked part by selecting one of the handrails once to move them easily at once.

Another problem that may arise is in their potentially embarrassing presence. There may be places along the corridors where you would like to put a vending machine, waiting chairs or other decorations that may be inconvenienced by the presence of these handrails.

To solve this problem, you have two options.
1) The handrails have a multitude of selectable faces (8 selectable) Once one of the faces of a handrail has been selected, it is sufficient to make it invisible in the texture settings. In this way, some of these elements will free up space to add your decorations.

2) Remove the handrails from the floor by making an edit linked part and unlink them. (Only if modular system freezes)
Add manually the handrails proposed in the bonus folder. The different sizes allowing you to position them where you want.
Most inclined walls are inclined at 45°.

Physics problem with the parking basement

It may happen that large structures do not synchronize properly as soon as they appear in the world. So you can see that although your parking spaces are rezzed, it is impossible to enter them, either through the stairwell or another entrance.

To solve this problem, it's very simple. Make a right click edited for a few seconds and then close the edit mode. Normally, physics will then synchronize correctly.

If the problem persists, contact support.
